I am having trouble clarifying and crystalizing my idea.  But I will try her and I am asking for input and help.  I would like to start a retail or on-line businesss that is focused on self care and helping people - primarily women find balance in their lives.  Products could include bath and body, aromatherpy, candles, teas, slippers, mediatation tapes, etc... I'd also like to provide seminars in the evening on finding your creativity, helping people find that balance, etc... and basically an inspiration to move forward in a positive way in their lives.  

Let me know what you think.  I'd be curious.  Any and all ideas are welcome.

Hi Barbara, I think this is a great market to tap.  How you approach the market would depend on who you see as your customer.  If your customer is the woman who is going to use those products, I think that this woman would be looking for products that they can't get somewhere else.  For example, if they can purchase all of this at Target, then it might be hard to make a case to go through you unless you have something unique like a good convenience angle or a lower price.  Of course if your products are unique in some way that would help tremendously.  If your customer is someone else who might somehow be connected into that woman, like a spa and you can provide a gift package that is unique for a good price, I think it might also be an angle worth exploring.  Tapping the right channel is so important.  You need to sell through or at least advertise through people who that woman will already be looking to for those services.  Just my thoughts.
