Nature of the Website

Bandycoop is a collaborative networking community and business resource for individuals seeking or working in flexible work arrangements. Bandycoop allows professionals to connect with employers, small businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, customers, vendors, employees and advisors. The Web site acts as a "virtual rolodex" that you can use at any time to connect with other professionals that can help your business or career.

Joining Bandycoop does not constitute employment nor the guarantee of employment. All employment arrangements are independent transactions between employers and members, or between members. While Bandycoop exists to facilitate such arrangements, it in no way is responsible for or liable for any such arrangements. Members agree to enter into contracts for employment or other services with due diligence and with no liability to Bandycoop or any affiliated services.

Bandycoop allows its Members to create a unique business profile online as well as to share valuable information and ideas and collaborate with each other for mutual benefit. It also provides resources to prepare for, obtain, and work in flexible, life-friendly employment. It is a service provided in good faith for regular use by a specific audience. Please review the Bandycoop Privacy Policy before posting any information. Bandycoop is administered and hosted in the United States.

The Ground Rules

The membership of Bandycoop succeeds because of the quality of its members and some basic rules that everyone adheres to. We reserve the right to deny service to any member or prospective member at any time if they do not play by the rules.

1. No Soliciting. Do not offer to "sell" anything to a member upon first contact. Focus on introducing yourself and the opportunities you provide, not outwardly hawking a product or service. If you are a vendor that offers a product to our targeted demographic, please contact us about advertising on our site. If you are a company that regularly hires non-traditional workers, please contact us for listing in our opportunities section.
2. No “Work from Home” business opportunities. Legitimate employment or partnering offers are welcome, but please do not approach any member or comment in any forum with an offer that they purchase or pay anything in order to “work from home” or join your team. The same goes for pyramid, MLM, or Ponzi schemes. It is appropriate to comment on such opportunities in the ‘opportunities’ sections. If you feel you have a legitimate opportunity to work from home that would provide our users flexibility and a good income, please contact us to be included in our listing of business opportunities. DO NOT CONTACT USERS DIRECTLY.
3. No Misrepresentation. Please be as honest and forthright about yourself and your qualifications as possible. Members are encouraged to report any communications that they consider to be misleading or any members that appear to be misrepresenting themselves.
4. No Leeches. A leech is someone who doesn’t respect the interests of the community and attempts to abuse the system for their own benefit. They take constantly and offer nothing in return. Bandycoop is a great place to collaborate and work together. Don’t be a leech.
5. No illegal, profane, or pornographic information. Please do not post any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without obtaining the prior written consent of the owner of such proprietary rights, or promote the illegal or unauthorized copying of another person's copyrighted work. Please do not post comments about or links to sites or content that could be considered pornographic. Please do not post any material that is violent, threatening, abusive, sexually explicit, obscene, offensive, hateful, derogatory, defamatory, libelous or racially, ethnically or similarly objectionable.

The Legal Mumbo Jumbo

This is the Terms of Use agreement for Bandycoop (the Company) and establishes the legally binding terms for your use of Bandycoop. By using Bandycoop, you (The Member) agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. All Bandycoop users must read and accept every aspect of this and any other agreement or policy provided. If you do not agree to these terms, you are prohibited from using Bandycoop or any affiliated services. Moreover, Bandycoop reserves the right to modify this agreement at any time. Your use of Bandycoop and affiliated services indicates your unconditional acceptance of all changes made to this agreement at any point.

Trademark Infringement

All names and logos associated with Bandycoop are trademarks of Bandycoop. You may not use any Bandycoop trademark in any manner without written consent. Furthermore, users may not infringe on any patents, trademarks, or other copyrights of Bandycoop users or any other parties whatsoever.

Conditions for Membership

In order to be eligible for Membership at Bandycoop, you must:
a) Be 18 years of age or older
b) Be a human (accounts registered by “bots” or other automated methods are not allowed); and,

By registering as a Member, you represent and warrant that you fulfill both of the Membership Eligibility conditions set forth above. Any persons found to have registered in violation of these terms (and without express written permission of the Company) will have their accounts immediately deactivated and be blocked from further use of Bandycoop. In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (viewable at http://www.ftc.gov/ogc/coppa1.htm), children under the age of 13 are not allowed to register with or access Bandycoop under any circumstances.

Account Access and Password

When you sign up to become a Member, you will also be asked to choose a password. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You agree to notify the Company immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or access to your password. You alone are solely responsible for any and all use of your account.

Terms of Information Use

Bandycoop is authorized to use any information that is provided by Bandycoop Members or affiliates. This information is used at no charge from the users and may be used for any purpose associated with Bandycoop or any affiliates. All information that a user posts on Bandycoop is completely the USER's responsibility. Bandycoop is not responsible for any misrepresentation of facts or other errors in this content. Bandycoop strives to ensure the integrity of the information on the Bandycoop site, but cannot guarantee the truthfulness of the information that each user provides. Bandycoop reserves the right to release any user information or other information if required to do so by law. Please read the Bandycoop Privacy Policy before posting any personal information.

Bandycoop Contact System

Bandycoop has created a proprietary messaging system for users to communicate with one another and for Bandycoop to contact these users. Additionally, Bandycoop may communicate with its users via email or other forms of contact in the normal course of business. All users must agree not to abuse the Bandycoop contact system in any manner. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in account suspension or termination.

Confidential Information Exchange

All information submitted to Bandycoop, including messages, will become the property of Bandycoop. Any Member or business on our site requesting to contact any other Member or business on our site, does so at their own risk and is solely responsible for conducting any legal, accounting, or due diligence review. Please do not send any confidential information through Bandycoop. You're best off using the system to make contact with other Members and then continue any confidential information exchange through your own methods. Please refer to the Bandycoop Privacy Policy before posting any information.

Sharing Your Content and Information at Bandycoop

You are solely responsible for the content that you publish or display on the Bandycoop site, or transmit to other Members (collectively the “Member Content”). You agree that Bandycoop may review and delete or remove any Member Content that in its sole judgment violates this Agreement or which might be offensive, illegal, or that might violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of Members or others. Bandycoop assumes no responsibility for the Member Content, no obligation to modify or remove any inappropriate Member Content, and no responsibility for the conduct of the Member submitting any such Member Content. By posting Member Content to any part of Bandycoop, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to Bandycoop an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, fully paid-up, worldwide license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, perform, display, reformat, translate, excerpt (in whole or in part) and distribute such information and content and to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such information and content, and to grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing. This license will terminate at the time you remove such Member Content from Bandycoop.

While Bandycoop will endeavor to protect the intended use of Bandycoop’s features and services using manual supervision, hardware, software and third-party solutions, please be aware that no measures are perfect. Therefore you are advised to use caution in selecting the information you post on Bandycoop and that you provide to other Members. If you become aware of abuse or misuse of Bandycoop by any person, please notify us immediately by email at so that proper actions can be taken.

Bandycoop reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject, refuse to post or remove any posting (including private messages) by you, or to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to all or any part of Bandycoop at any time, for any or no reason, with or without prior notice, and without liability. Users must obey all applicable local, national, and international laws associated with the use of Bandycoop and any affiliated services.

Links to Other Services and Websites

The Bandycoop site contains links to other services and websites including advertisers. Bandycoop is not responsible for the content, accuracy or opinions expressed in such services, and such services are not investigated, monitored or checked for accuracy or completeness by Bandycoop. Approval or recommendation of a website or service by members of the Bandycoop community are independently submitted by members and do not reflect the opinion of Bandycoop. Inclusion of any linked or referenced website or service on or through Bandycoop does not imply approval or endorsement of the linked/referenced service or website by Bandycoop. If you decide to access these third-party sites or services, you do so at your own risk.

User Agreement

Users agree with Bandycoop NOT to use Bandycoop or any services provided by Bandycoop or its affiliates to:

1. Commit ANY unlawful acts
2. Post or "spam" other users on the system with unsolicited advertising or other communications
3. Harm Bandycoop, or any related systems and infrastructure in any way through any means
4. Collect or resell data containing other users' profile or personal information or any other information on Bandycoop
5. Harass other users or anyone else in any way
6. Misrepresent themselves in any way through profile postings or messages sent to other members
7. Commit any actions considered to be unethical or to abuse the Bandycoop system, other associated services, or users
8. Attempt to deliberately solicit members to leave Bandycoop in favor of another related or competitive service

Disciplinary Guidelines

Bandycoop may, but is not obligated to, enforce penalties for breaching these guidelines. Foremost, you agree that Bandycoop may immediately suspend or terminate your Bandycoop account and all access to Bandycoop and other services without prior notice. The following will lead to the suspension or termination by Bandycoop of a user's account 1) violation of this Terms of Service or the User Agreement within this document 2) Violation of any applicable laws 3) A user's request to have their own profile removed 4) Account inactivity.

Account termination will include, but is NOT limited to the previous items and events listed. Bandycoop is not liable for any damages associated with the suspension or termination of a user's account.

Bandycoop will not issue any refunds whatsoever to Members who have violated these Terms of Service. Users further agree to the terms set forth in the Refund Policy.

Extent of Liability

By accepting this Terms of Use agreement, you agree that Bandycoop and any persons or entities associated or affiliated with Bandycoop are not responsible for any damages to any party as a result of using the services provided or transacting business with Bandycoop or affiliates. Bandycoop reserves the right, but is not obligated, to screen the content that is posted on Bandycoop for any abusive, false, unreliable or other unacceptable material. However, we cannot guarantee that users will not find such material on this site. We rely a great deal on the Bandycoop user base to help protect the standards and integrity of the site content. Please report any such offenses to Bandycoop so that proper action can be taken. We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to terminate any accounts that are in violation of this Terms of Service Agreement or any other policies that our company maintains. We hold no responsibility for ANY damages caused for any reason to users of our services or to other parties. Furthermore, Bandycoop is not responsible for malfunctioning features or services that may hinder your use of the Bandycoop site or its offerings or cause damages to any party. We will do our best to provide a fully functioning service with complete integrity at all times, but this cannot in any way be guaranteed. Bandycoop will not be held responsible for the actions of other users or outside parties that disrupt the normal functioning of the site.

Membership on Bandycoop does not constitute employment or the guarantee of employment. The actual employment shall be a private and independent transaction between the members without any participation by Bandycoop. In no event will Bandycoop be liable for any loss of earnings or any other commercial damages, losses or expenses arising out of or in correlation with an independent transaction, agreement, or interaction between site members.
