The Bandycoop Story

Bandycoop was formed by two women doing their best to balance their professional and personal lives. Sound familiar? Like many women today, they realized that “having it all” didn’t have to mean “having it all at once.” The many choices and circumstances that women today are faced with sometimes required new and different ways to meld work, family, social lives, and relationships, into one fabulous life.

At the same time, America’s workplace was changing. Companies were going global, requiring employees to work hours other than nine-to-five local time. Technology was making it possible to work at locations other than the office and still stay connected. Staffing needs were changing and fluctuating and companies were finding that they needed a lean, flexible workforce. More and more it was becoming possible and profitable to tap into professionals that could work in a responsive, flexible way, giving companies that competitive edge.

Bandycoop was created to serve professional women who want to work in non-traditional work arrangements – for whatever reason – by facilitating employment opportunities, networking opportunities, partnering opportunities, and business opportunities.

Non-traditional work arrangements, or flex-work, include owning a small/home business, freelancing, part-time work, job sharing, contract work, flex-time work, telecommuting, shift-work, and training and speaking engagements.
